Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research Centre

 
 
    Aurangabad city has grown up as an international tourist centre on account of its vicinity with the world famous rock cut temples at Ellora and beautiful paintings of frescoes at Ajanta. The caves depict the tenets of Buddhism, which was adopted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and millions of his followers. The renaming of the University as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has further treasured the contribution of this great leader and messiah of the downtrodden to the nation one society at large.
 
    To commemorate the outstanding services and contribution of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation decided to establish "Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research Centre" in the city. The centre is now ready to undertake various activities to encourage learning research and thereby improve the quality of life of it's citizens and to spread the values which were dear to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
 
    The main objectives of the centre are:-
  
 1.This centre shall function as a main vehicle for the promotion of social equality and to inspire the
    eminent intellectuals on a social mission.
 
 2.To study the entire aspects of social problems relating to economic , educational cultural and
    ethnic conditions prevailing in society.
 
 3.To purchase or accept the literature, books periodicals, and the writings of eminent scholars,
    philosophies, encyclopedia and the books on anthropological studies etc. as donations.  
 
 4.To organize the lectures conferences and the workshops etc. for interested intellectuals and
    various personalities in the society all over world.
 
 5.To publish the articles, essays and the writings of the researchers.
 
 6.To organize lectures, debate competitions, drawing exhibitions and to felicitate the meritorious
    students with awards and scholarships.  
 
 7.To coordinate and to involve the like minded local district, state, national and international
    organizations for the attainment of the centre's objectives.
 
 8.To extend invitation to the prominent scholars, philosophers, researchers and all other, interested
    in the human rights for a quality life in India as well as other nations in the world. This will also
    include academicians and the students of the Universities and the Colleges.
